The Criteria of Selection
The Award was conceptualized in January 2019 with two committees envisaged. The first committee (G-Four) constitutes four (4) members, 2 from IRMA and 2 from partner organizations ie ADDI. The Group of 4 persons representing the participating agencies would meet twice a year to endorse names recommended by their clusters. The second Committee (Global Clusters GC) initially constituted 6 members with one representative each from each of the 6 Regions but this was expanded to 10. In recognizing the expansive nature of the 6th Region, IRMA made adjustments to this formula to allow each of the sub-region of the 6th Region to be represented, Subsequently, this meant that the GC Committee now has 10 representatives with 5 from the Continent and 5 from the 6th Region one each representing the United States and Canada, Europe, Asia and Far East, South America and the Caribbean. The IRMA/ADDI Committees will be constituted and activated by December 2022. These committees will be hosted ADDI and IRMA Secretariats in Johannesburg, South Africa. IRMA will have the responsibility of managing the nomination process from country through regional to the global level. The Secretariats will organize quarterly meetings to finalize the shortlisting, selection list notify nominees and profile the final Awardees.
